Owner needs to use the original posts, without re brazing ideally.

Seeing that nice dames frame above I realised I never posted these in this thread.

Many years ago a local-to-me seller had a barn full of old French bikes for sale. I went for a look. Most of it was just old rusty low end Peugeots and Motobecanes, but since I was there anyway, I dug out three that seemed interesting and took them with me.

The plan was to make one nice bike out of these for mrs non-fixie, but so far she's been lees than thrilled about the idea. 😟

I’m wondering if @non-fixie might be up for measuring the brake drop from post to shoe on your trois dames and if there is any difference between front and back?

I believe all three use the 'Jeay' system. You may want to look for the exact specifications for those.

I happen to have one of the bikes here with me, and I measure ~30mm center-to-center (boss to brake shoe pivot), both front and back:

Sensible 👍 👍 👍 👍

I was thinking too the same could be done if you measure your positions to allow someone compare with where a Mafac center-pull pivot position falls. At a guess, I think you could rule out Bebolux - but I think they could work too like an upgrade ;) . My reasoning is your frame does have cable hangers fitted, where-as the Bebolux does not need frame cable hangers. Probably good to look for Jeay.
