XT equipped F.W. Evans... probably not?

I've been asked to identify this bike for a local bike project near me who are selling it. It's been listed as an Evans but I'm now beginning to doubt that.

It's equipped mostly with early 90s XT and an LX crankset. Can anyone identify the frame? The only decal says F.W. Evans and I belive there's a model number on it that I can get if it's useful.

I’m sure someone more knowledgable will be along - it’s a lot like a Saracen Conquest/ F W Evans - but the way the seat stays join the top tube and the clamp area are different as is the internal top tube cable routing which points to something a bit fancier. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that some of the well known frame builders built these, could be one of those variations? Rear cable stop is definitely a bit Dave Yates but guess others used that too.

I had a good look at this a few weeks ago. Don’t think it’s an Evans, more like RBG has said late 80’s Saracen with the internal cabling. Nice frames though and this has some nice bits.
