Hi,
I'm after some pics of the above bike circa 1995, particularly the original brakes as I changed mine to V brakes shortly after getting the bike and binned the canti's about 4 years ago. I cannot remember if I changed the levers too (Shimano servo wave currently fitted)? I picked up some new...
I bought this bike second hand last summer, as I’d seen one being ridden locally and really liked it. When I got it home I soon realised that many of the original components had been swapped out so began researching and investigating the original specification. The following components have been...
Hi,
Need a set of these in black to finish the Haro Mary rebuild. They are typically the bogo standard pedals the manufacturers put on their bikes knowing they will in most cases get swapped out.
Anyone got a set in their spares bin? They've got to be 812's to complete the OCD rebuild!
Cheers...
I'm faced with this decision too as I want to put canti's back on my Raleigh Max Cromo 2. Decathlon sell a slightly different cradle arrangement - I was going to fit these to work out the optimum size shimano link wire.

Bars arrived this morning - really pleased with them thank you.
You'd get 5 stars for delivery and A+++ seller on eBay :-) .I'll post up some pics once the rebuild is complete.
Cheers

Hi
Looking to use my Haro mary SS as a commuting bike and want to fit some fast rolling tyres.
Looking for recommendations of a smoothish 29er/700c tyre about 40-50 mm wide. Main use will be Tarmac and trails.
Any suggestions?
Ian
Re tyres there are a couple of 29er slicks on the chain reaction site plus a few fast rolling mtb tyres - schwalbe hurricane is one.
I'm looking for the Haro!

I picked up a complete haro mary SS from eBay for £200. They don't appear very often. I've seen one other complete bike and three or four frames. I think they did an XC which was basically the same but with gears.
For around £200 you could get an on-one steel frame and suspension adjusted rigid...
Following on from the Bodge thread you could carefully cut up a beer can and wrap it around to take up the slack. I bought a second hand bike and this is how the seat pin was installed with a bit. Has been fine.

Re:
Hi
It was gunmetal grey - I seem to remember the touch up from my '89 Orion injection ghia was a good match.
I have the raleigh catalogue from the time. If you want any pics let me know.

I have a Max Cromo 2 from 94/95 which I've owned from new. Spent most of its life in the shed and only non-original parts are the v brakes. I binned the canti's a while ago when clearing out the shed oops!
Just in the process of making it into a hybrid style bike with 1.95 city jets and full...
