    Raleigh Peak

The '92 catalogueshows the Peak in the Azure Blue colour, and the whole range with rear facing seatpost split. Someone on another forum I post on has just bought one of these off ebay for £7.50 :o The bike I have, has got XT from 93 so I assume it was original kit. The bars are also...

    Raleigh Peak

Not the cleanest of bikes - lots of scuffs from previous life, but for a total cost of £25... If these bars are Titanium, why do magnets stick to them?

    Raleigh Peak

I thought it was, although mine was un-named. Just Raleigh on the frame in green. There was a place in Barnsley that used to sell them at reduced prices - I've an idea that they were intended for export.

    Raleigh Peak

Just finished rebuilding a Retro MTB - a Raleigh Peak - about 1994 I think. K2 Cromoly tubeset, lugged frame. Blue with orange transfers (worn off thank goodness). 7 speed XT gear train with Xt thumbies. Bought it for £15 from a local charity shop. If I hadn't bought it the local...

    Tell me about threading forks

Check that the steerer is reamed to take a quill stem before you think about threading. The tools are expensive, although I have a set if you are anywhere near (Cambs).

    eBay Sports camera

I bought one of these from 7dayshop a couple of weeks ago. The memory card died after the first use (and I've heard of other people having the same problem) and the quality isn't as sharp as my MUVI type camera. PS, Maplin have the MUVI at under £30 at the moment.

    Thetford mini-meet March 28th & *** AFTERMATH ***

Eleven of us set out at about 11am covering the trails on the Brandon side of the woods, and kept together as a group riding at a steady pace. Lewis, probably the lightest rider, had an off when he rode a berm which totally gave way. The other notable off has been mentioned...

    Big Univega

Looks right to me. I think this was the largest size they did anyway. My biggest is a 20". The 1" head tube and low saddle may throw the proportions a bit.
