How are you finding the handling? I find mine very twitchy and tucky at the front end.
Get the Charge Mixer, I know that is what you've got your heart set on. Choosing the hub gear is gonna limit your choices as you know.
Personally I've got nothing against derailleurs so if I was in your shoes I would widen my choices to include 'conventional geared bikes'.

I hear good things about Planet X, they do a Road carbon for around £1200 I thinks.
Kiron Scandium from Wiggle is rated too (they were low on sizes last time I looked though)
Oh and the Boardman Comp (carbon) gets a 10/10 in Cycling plus.
