I was so happy with the forks. Inside was perfect too, thanks to the open oil bath 👍 The only issue with the frame is a small dent, which will be covered with a Union Jack flag on both sides for symmetrical reasons 😉

I decided to go for the DMR Defy to get to the 3mm gap. Even had to add a spacer 😅

No, all there. Until you tighten them up, there is some play and slight changes in height and twist are possible. I must have attached the brace when the fork arms were a bit off/not aligned correctly. I'm glad I found the issue and could easily rectify it 🥵

So, the bike is now taking shape and I've installed the Z2 Bomber. The wine red dots look nice against the polished aluminium and the geometry hasn't suffered. I took the fork apart, cleaned it up and replaced the oil, so far so good....until I went to align the handlebar with the wheel and saw...

Thanks for the valuable tips. I've just managed to grab me a Sunine V1 stem with a stem stack height of just over 3cm. If that's not enough, I could change the upper or lower headset for a couple more mm gain, but I don't think that'll be necessary. No, there are no spacers! I'll save the last...
