If it was me, I reckon I'd do a full strip-down and rebuild. Allowing you to clean and polish the frame etc, and ensure everything is clean, lubed and fully functional. You can then fit lighter parts, starting with wheels/ tyres and a better fork and probably saddle, seatpost, stem and bar, all...

I need some vgc 7spd parts... A rear derailleur, thinking the black LX stuff or STX, and similar front: 31.8, bottom pull. I also need a vgc BB for an STX chainset. 68mm shell, and 113mm I think, but please advise if wrong!
