Hi, in the process of building a 90’ Clockwork on a budget, what’s the biggest tyre I can get away with on my original Mavic rims and original Orange forks? Also can I run a 7 Speed cassette with an XT RD M737 derailleur I found in the garage? Thanks Steve.

Hullo, I am after a Stem, with all the bits, for an Orange Elite I think its 1 1/4". Not botherd about condition, as long as it works ok. I would like something with a bit of rise in it maybe. Not much money at the mo, but have got a race in a few weeks and need one for then. Cheers Steve

Its not very big, and I think its a quill type (not very helpful I know!)

My Orange Elite has a crappy Halfrauds stem on it, and I am after a new (old) one. Having done a few longer rides recently and getting some backache what are the options for getting a taller one to give a more comfortable riding position, without ruining the bike? Cheers Steve

Right the plan is now to go XT. I found a XT front mech in my garage from the right sort of era, and I won a XT deraillier from Eblag cheap that will match it. Cheers for all the advice, I will get new rings, chain and cassette and give everything a good clean. I need advice on food, after...

Hullo, I have just bought an XT rear deraileur RD M737 8 speed, will this work ok with my 7 speed Orange? Or will I have to get a new 8 speed cassette as I need a new one anyway. Sorry never really understood the whole gear setup thing. :oops:
