I just have the one sample on hand, as attached. So the entire crown is 100% wool with the liner being made of cotton. I haven't yet made a cap with ear flaps, but if you share a picture of the type of ear flaps you're looking for I can add those quite easily.

Absolutely! I've made a few wool caps over the years. I'd just have to factor the additional fabric cost into the overall price.

Thanks so much for the confirmation. Since the Veloce groupset has the rounded hoods, it seems that the bike must be from '98 or after. Are these bikes only considered Art Decor if they have the wording 'Decor' on them?

I really appreciate the input on this! I've done all the checks to make sure that the cable runs smoothly in the housing and has sufficient tension across the gears, and it all feels just fine. The bike has new gear cables and housings, so that's why I think it must be a shifter issue.

Thanks so much for reply on this. I'm pedantic about seating cable housings properly before wrapping tape and bartape. To check, I've reassembled the shifter, fitted it to the handlebar and run a few tests (pushing the down shift lever), but nothing seems to be moving, and the gears are still...

Thanks so much for the feedback on my query. So you're saying that it might not be the ratchet that is causing the shifting problems? The spring carrier is A-okay, so i suppose the only other cause must be the G springs?

It's not in NOS condition, that's for sure! The shifting is very strange - it shifts up two gears with one push of the lever, but then won't shift at all with the next push.
