Hi All
just had the pleasure of building this one up for a clubmate, it's a Master from around 92-93 I think. It has been resprayed (not sure who did the work) in a fantastic pearlescent baby blue colour.
convinced him to go for a retro/modern build, so 10 speed campagnolo groupset and neutron...
Re: forks
Mmm, might have to start the search for some precisa forks then... :(
running 25mm tyres at moment and have got around 20mm clearence, so could shove some 23's on to help a little.
Thanks for all the info and comments - much appreciated :D
regards U.z.
so, stripped forks off to double check for damage and cannot find any signs of issue so after looking at some colnago pista details on the net I am coming to the conclusion that this has got some 'track' forks on it.
the bike is fairly twitchy but not unstable, can ride hands-off fine :-)
may...
Hi kgt
been looking at other Master frames and bikes on the net and can see many others with similar clearance on fork/tyre/downtube - also I'm running 25mm tyres so that will make it look tight.
frame is absolutely straight - no signs of any issues, same goes for the forks.

Hi Finney
Not sure if it's standard geometry for a Master, maybe one of the resident Colnago experts could give some help on this front, but it's a quick turner that's for sure and feels really planted in the corners.

and a set of vector II's
recently rebuilt with a slight 'modern' twist (xtr v-brakes and modern chainset). Still my favourite ride and
I will never get rid of her, done countless races and...
Re: Rts 1 1993 maybe etc team racers frame)

whats the state of the pivots / main bearing ? - also is the shock ok
get some pics up and i can make a decision

cheers for the comments - been a long 4 weeks of rebuilding in the garage for many evenings, so glad you like it. :D
still think longer term I will try and find a more 'period' chainset, but got to say the newer unit with external
bearings was very simple to fit and looks quite good - only...
Just finished rebuild on my 95 zaskar LE. I have owned from new (bought as frameset) and this is the second time she has had a freshen up.
I know the purists will not like the modern chainset, but I was struggling to find a decent retro set art a sensible price - the original LX chainset that I...
