SP: Music to my ears... I'm not missing anything - other than brains - I must admit, fiddling around with it there seems to be few reasons why it shouldn't work. I'd assumed there should be some because of the tiny holes to attach them to in the frame. Thanks.

I'm hoping somebody might be able to dig me out of a hole? Managed to get a 1990 Fire Mountain up together, having salvaged it from a terrible fate. It's almost servicable now. Much of the bike was in pieces and I've had problems sorting out the rear brake. It's a cantilever/u brake...
