Old Skool Adverts--- Got a Favorite, Post it.

I didn't see the Bullseye cranks in any of the previous posts, pulleys yes, cranks no. I had these on a Cannondale as I kept tweaking the non-forged Shimano offerings at the time. Coming from a BMX background I guess I jumped the poor bike a bit much. The biggest issue was the BB...

    Long Lost Kona Hot

Not mine to share. That said from my original post it's an early 90's Hot guaranteed. I sold just the frame to the current owner who built it up as it is now. When I had it, sadly no detailed pics, it was mostly 1st gen XTR M900.

    Long Lost Kona Hot

In my experience you won't find that kind of imagery or ideology in the cycling community. ;)

    Long Lost Kona Hot

As stated above he did give me a number, kind of higher than it might be worth considering condition. The frame has lived a typical MTB life and would need restoration. Rust spots, a dent in the top tube, and the seat post is frozen.

    Long Lost Kona Hot

Recently while chatting with a former co-worker from a few decades back I asked whatever happened to that Hot I sold you. Now I thought it had been sold, stolen, whatever, but to my surprise he still had it hanging in a shed. I purchased this frame, a Teesdale made with Tange Prestige and the...

    1997 Bontrager Race Lite

It has the usual wear marks, but was in great shape. First thing was to strip the bike down to the bare frame, then rebuild everything, R&R parts as needed. Thanks for making such an iconic bike!

    1997 Bontrager Race Lite

The bike came with a Rock Shox Judy, but for my purposes I wanted a rigid fork. Finding a suspension corrected fork with a 1" steerer tube was proving difficult. Then I stumbled across a fork from Soma Fabrications. https://www.somafab.com/archives/product/mtb-fork-26-canti-qr-1-threadless...

    1997 Bontrager Race Lite

This bike is indeed nice and will not be abused. So fun to rip around the metro area on a snappy handling vintage MTB. The Timbuk2 bag has mounting points for a rack built in, they can be found on ebay but are out of production.

    1997 Bontrager Race Lite

I've been wanting to build an urban all around bike for grocery runs, or anything to just not fire up the car. The list of candidates were the usual suspects, i.e. Bridgestone, Bianchi, Univega, Schwinn, etc. but as a long time bike industry guy I wanted a bike with panache. Then I stumbled...

    Rigid Forks Needed

https://www.somafab.com/parts/forks I put one of these on a recent Bontrager build.
