    Panaasonic bikes 2017!

Re: Panasonic has never stopped doing this. It's just that they only offer the service inside Japan to Japanese people in Japanese. I posted a really old video on the forums here a year or so ago from when Panasonic's POS system and factory was fairly new and showed their amazing computer...

1994 Campagonol Athena brifters compatible with modern brak?

So I have a 1994 Bridgestone RB-1 which was built up in 1994 with a full Campagnol groupset. It had been barely used by the guy who bought the bike from new ( the clear plastic cover protection on the head tube badge still hadn't been pealed off even!). So it rides and shifts like brand new...

KLEIN Quantum Pro 1997 - Jubilée / Red / CLB

Re: Great build, I had the same frame in the same colour and loved it! My latest bike is a damn near mint condition 1994 Bridgestone RB-1 that i bought from someone that had bought it brand new and stored in their garage, lugged steel with full 1994 spec components and even though it is only 2...

    Panasonic PR-6000

Re: The Panasonic order system is still active in Japan. I recently had a friend have a Panasonic track frame built up in Tokyo. They are still making lovely bikes, what's amazing is that I have been to Kalavinka in Gakigeidaigaku and it is very "artisan/tiny workshop" so watching that video is...

    Panasonic PR-6000

I wonder if their factory still has the same computer systems as back then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfAbZlqQ68o#t=537

    1994 Bridgestone RB-1

The Sidi's are awesome, mid nineties and in mint condition which shows how much the bike has been ridden. The frame is perfect save for a few minor scratches in the paint probably due to moving it about in the garage over the years. Will it be hard to repair? They are the Genius 2 in black with...

    1994 Bridgestone RB-1

More photos. What to do with that old cycle computer though! it seems like an antique! I do love the crown on the fork though!

    1994 Bridgestone RB-1

Finally picked up a road bike after leaving Japan. There are no velodromes here, so I sold off my Keirin bikes too before moving. I had been looking for a Klein road bike but saw this little Bridgestone pop up on the local Craig'slist just down the road and I couldn't pass it up as it looked...

    Athena D500 braking power

Re: Thanks very much. squishy was the feeling I had with them too. Apply a lot of power and they stopped. Just didn't have that feeling the 7800 brakes (or modern dual pivots) had.

    Athena D500 braking power

Re: Sorry, that was an example photo of the brake calipers I found online. I wanted to know if the brakes will always be so weak so I can think about replacing them.

    Athena D500 braking power

I am looking at buying a really nice condition 1994 Bridgestone RB-1 and it has mostly Campagnolo Athena group set. It rides really nicely, reminds me of the Keirin bikes I used to ride in Japan. The only issue was the brakes were really weak. This could just be that the pads and rims have not...
