Great photo! The candy red enamel on this 2010 Hardrock is challenging even Specialized's favorite 'team red'. It looks very different depending on the light and viewing angle. I restored 4 versions of this bike: - red: https://bikesheaven.com/2010-specialized-hardrock-15-red/ - blue...

Here is a very rare find, a true garage queen: 1988 Specialized Rockhopper Comp 21.5" in 'Di Nucci green' with a lot more photos of this bike on my website. Everything on this bike is original and absolutely perfect. After complete disassembly I only replaced old lubricant with modern days...

Dealing with a stuck aluminum seatpost seized in a steel framed bike a few month ago, I ended up using caustic soda. It worked! There are plenty of good videos on the subject on YouTube . I tried just about everything else before that, including reciprocating saw. No luck. The frame was an early...

1970x Raleigh Superbe/Sport/Tourist - the ultimate comfort bikes?

Here is another Raleigh-like bike: 1971 Triumph. See more restoration photos of this bike on its page on my site. These super comfortable and exceptionally well made bikes are not known much in the USA.

Hi, there was no electrical equipment on this bike. I just used a modern day retro-looking headlight.

1970x Raleigh Superbe/Sport/Tourist - the ultimate comfort bikes?

Thank you Mark. The 'bronze green' color is original, just cleaned, de-rusted, and waxed for protection. Raleigh certainly used several colors. Here is another Superbe in maroon I hope to start restoring soon. It looks like several bikes made in England during 70x share the same frame. For...

1970x Raleigh Superbe/Sport/Tourist - the ultimate comfort bikes?

For the last few years I've been searching for an ultimate comfort bike. By ultimate comfort I mean straight up riding position that grants hours of enjoyable rides. I tried just about everything. The old school mountain bikes seem to be close to my idea of fun. The 1987 Specialized...

1996 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 FS Comp 19". Specialized catalog identifies its color as 'Norris Blue'. I don't know what 'Norris' signifies, but the bike looks spectacular.

For this bike I happen to have an original saddle in perfect shape. I tried complete 'yellowfication' on another Specialized - 1993 Specialized Hardrock Ultra. Saddle by McSelle is not only cheerfully yellow, but actually quite well made.

Speaking of 1993, here is my this week's project: 1993 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 in 'violet metallic' two tone. I took a liberty in accentuating a bright yellow logo with bright yellow pedals, handlebar grips, and cable housings. May not be the most practical, but I just couldn't help it. Is it...
