    Endorphin build

I may change a few things, but wanted to use some bits from the old bike just to get mobile. The pedals I like for their practicality ie I can pop down the shops on it in normal shoes and then clip in for a longer off road ride. Going to enjoy it for a bit and see how I get on and then upgrade...

    Endorphin build

cheers guys beginning to think I smelt or something! Anyway, I'm now 2+ weeks post my key hole knee op and have been encouraged, as I hoped I would, to cycle to build back up my left hamstring and quad. I've 'finished' the build to a point and made my first journey, just a pootle around...

    Endorphin build

ok P2 fork arrived and is indeed mint so I popped this on (sort of!) rested the frame on the wheels just for an impression. The geometry looks ok just looking by eye? and the steel fork doesn't look too out of place in my eyes...I certainly don't hate it. I'm a complete novice bike build wise...

    Endorphin build

Ok sitting here now after a Knee arthroscopy operation this morning, so plenty of time to watch the internet parts roll in and take my time fitting things as it'll be a while til I can throw a leg over it. BTW the Trigon fork was ordered but the ebay seller instantly cancelled as they were out...

    Endorphin build

Er I incorrectly started a thread in the <1997 section so now correcting myself! http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... p;t=260454 I've got a few bits on their way, some on the slow boat from China/Hong Kong/Germany and some domestic. What I have...not pictured or on the way to me Basic...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Ok crank and bb tools arrived so old bike totally stripped...however I have discovered that the site has a 1998+ section I genuinely thought the site was pre 1997 or nothing, hence my first post plea! I have now scrolled down the front page (go me!!) and found the more modern parts  so...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Well a new saddle and water bottle holder aren't much to get excited about but here's a pic anyway! Lots of items on watch on ebay and the other bike is in bits bar the crank and BB so I've been fairly busy...I'm now thinking of getting a bike specific tool kit, just researching to make sure I...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

I do like the pedals versatility...the Manitou forks are now in bits and look in a bad way (ie beyond help!) internally, lots of contaminated grease but dry at the same time and some cracked seals/deformed elastomer bits. I'll put them to one side as may be a mini project after this. New...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Just looked at the current tatty bike and found x2 xt mechs and Hope hubbed 517 Mavic and non name rear hub 517 rim (not keen on the gold anodising!) Also some very old Answer "USA built" forks, which I might dismantle for the hell of it... Thinking of keeping the wheelset and mechs to get up...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Thanks guys, I will follow up with pics yes. Thanks for the Exotic fork info, it's looking the most likely as I think the frame deserves the 'new' look where possible. I've not got set views of items/specs but I will admit that they have to look ok and complement the bike basically and I say...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Thanks Paul, I'm ok doing work on cars so not scared to get stuck in, but as with the cars will probably spend a few quid on tools along the way. I've been browsing ebay and found a few little things that caught my eye and I've put on watch but I'm going to wait for the frame to arrive and...

Scott Endorphin Frame build up advice

Hi guys and girls, as per the introductions thread I seem to have purchased Harryburgundys Endorphin frame and I'm hoping we can all overlook the age of it and pretend it's a 1997 model! It's a blank canvas and to be honest, unlike I suspect a few borderline obsessive bike collectors/builders...
