Original Headshok bearing are still found on ebay etc, as are the 88 needle roller bearing racks. The first gen Headshok is a bit bouncier than later models but is a nice ride when its set up right.

Yes, I'm on the look out for the Gore originals for some V's of mine, the newer Sram equivalent seems like a watered down version to me. One of my Super V's has had "Gore ride ons" since new, 1995 I've never had to adjust them.
Better post some of my Cannondale's up here for all to see.
here's my 96 speed yellow Super V900 carbon I bought new, it has gone through a couple of rebuilds but has proven pretty much bombproof for me I occassional tow a BOB trailer to work with it carrying tools of my craft.

Yes chess, some of the smaller Cdale M series frames were of the Killer V design to allow stand over clearance for shorter riders.
Should have a rigid P bone aluminium fork up front.

Used Ritchey Z Max K's for years back then, 1.9, 2.1 or 2.35's depending on where I was and weather conditions. Ritchey released the Z speedmax K for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics which I found great for hardpack areas here.
