That's the tube. The paintwork is a bit hammered but the lump is all tube

I filed it til it was about 2mm thickness then a mate took over and drilled it out

This is the damage done to my Al Carter whilst removing a stuck seat post. Do you think it would be repairable or safe to ride with a long seat post?

Mine was a pinto creek, put a gash in the frame getting a stuck seat post out. Could of sobbed lol. Apparently it's too tricky to weld. They're such great bikes, I've not seen one I didn't like
