Well the bike got finished a few months ago but we finally got time to take some pictures. I think the bike turned out great, my friend is completely stoked.

Seems to me that this is the reissue that was done by Lynskey about 2 years ago for Ibis. The ebay ad does not really illustrate this point too well. The one saving grace is that the frame was not a handjob gone wild, i.e. adding a disc brake tab after the fact.

That is a shame that he would do that. Blacksheep is a great company and the modification looks to be really well done but a mojo without using the original handjob is pretty lame. That goes for people who run v-brakes as well! Good thing its not my size or I would have shed a tear.

I have seen gold pieces on polished frames and it always looks the sharpest. I have a gold pair of chris king hubs that are brighter than this set, but I do not think they all work together. As with any anodizing the shading makes the difference and mixing golds can work but it could also be a...

Not the best picture to get an idea of all the shading on the gold but it all matches perfectly. Now just need a frame to hang it on, and no your own frame is not an option.

Thanks Scant, I did not know that they were the same as a standard Control Tech stem. I do want an Ibis "branded" stem though due to the color, which is a gunmetal/ blueish color, to match my Ibis Rosies.
