Thats not bad news, i think it be neat if it was! Its a bike thats about 20min away from me so its up for sale and id be interested in talking to the guy about it.
yeah thats what i thought, it looked nothing at all like anything i was familiar with, and knew something was off about it but didnt really check myself; been really busy packing the truck to head out of town for work convention tomorrow!
Look at this I stumbled onto in my area after redoing my own listings, a 2000/2001(?) Kaboom custom that the owner says he bought off the last owner who order it custom built? I’m not sure what to think about it to me it looks just hacked up to my untrained eye, but I was waiting to post it here...
Thanks! Yeah now that I actually measured it, and weighed it it makes a lot more sense, It was sold to me, well listed as he thought a, for dirt cheap $ as a 2011 16" NuNu, and i was a bit confused because i was like the weld doesnt make sense for a 16" frame. But the serial indicates 2002 NuNu...
Okay so I just remeasured, to the center of the BB, it appears that the seller clearly didnt know how to measuere at all, and measured a full 2 inches shorter, and it looks to be one of the 18" frames, and not the 16". And I also got a basic weight at right at 2.037kg (4.492lbs) for it. Not my...
Haha Call in the mods 🤣
All I can say is I hadn’t been in that place in a long time, and it was marvelous! It’s equally pretty neat to see it’s been globally felt!
hmmmm perhaps I measured using ‘yankee units’ 🧌 or was misinformed on how Kona’s are rightly measured. But thought this was a smaller frame, but not the smallest size that it measured at 16” ? When I get back I’ll have to measure again but with metric soft tape.
came to edit my post above being only a minute later, (and I know this software allows it, since I am a staff member/mod on a different platorm using the same one).
Meant to say that obviously maybe it could be an hold over old fake frame too if the weld butting seams too not only the Pahoehoe...
Question for you @W7Ford and let me know if this is better served making a separate thread over. But this was part of the reason why I wasn’t sure about the frame being the NuNu; and maybe it being a restickered Pahoehoe the head tube butting for the weld is not the the NuNu shown above...

Hey all! Long story short, my wife had been begging to get back into biking again for her birthday, well its coming up at the end of the month and I had been looking for bikes and really not feeling anything new at all. When we moved years ago and we had to leave our bikes, we gave them away to...
