1997 Cannondale F900 rebuild - just scrapes in by date !

OK. Bike now finished, so I thought I'd summarise my experiences, as I'm new to this lark. Hopefully it might be of interest to some other inexperienced retro MTB lovers. The bike is a 1997 Cannondale F900 in Tangerine. I am guessing it's an L but haven't checked the serial numbers as it fits...

    technical help ?

hello all. build around a C'dale F900 frameset nearing completion. will be posting when complete with full spec list & feedback. problem with chainrings. i've fitted 22/32/42 TA compact rings, which look the biz. BUT I whacked the granny on and fitted the crank only to find the granny...

new XT skewers *****NOW SOLD THANKS************

SOLD SOLD SOLD i believe these are M785. just had some new wheels built, never ridden. decided to replace them with some gold hope skewers for a bit of a wheeljazzle. i would like to get similar money to cost of hopes for these, say £20 including first class post. thanks for looking.

    Maguras

seems a shame to ditch the boosters as they are the LE 'Olympia' edition with gold hardware. all worked perfectly with the tangerine paint & gold decals. maybe i'm being too girly about it. will run without and hang onto the boosters so i can sell them as a set in the future if needs be...

    Maguras

Nearing completion of Cannondale F900 rebuild, with only chainrings and chain to find (94BCD rings hanging around, anyone?) I have Magura HS33s, which are proving a bit tricky to get set up. I am running Conti Race Kings and it appears the Magura booster is just too small to fit over them...

    mid 90s cannondale cranks/rings

hi all. a quick one, which someone will probably put to bed very easily. i have a '97 F900 i'm building up and it has the OE 175mm cranks (300M, I think). bolt to bolt is just over 55m, so BCD should be 94. original ratio was I think 22/32/42. will a set of Race Face 5 bolt rings do the...

    gruppo advice for a novice

chainrings it appears the CODA 300 crankset is 94 BCD. Any thoughts on Race Face Team rings, 94 BCD 24/34/46 set, to work with my 3x9 XT gear..? they look pretty smart, and nice to get a 'match' with my seatpost. And they are black, so they look mean as hell. Currently reduced to £75...

    gruppo advice for a novice

thanks grand, thanks. Maguras it is. I'm chasing some orange ones which will look AMAZING on my orange frameset; otherwise maybe some Olympias which have gold boosters which match my decals. Which is important. wheels: OK, 717 or 317. I want black. Probably go for XT hubs. I'd prefer 32h...

    gruppo advice for a novice

hi all. currently trawling ebay (for far longer than i should) for bits to build up my new project - a tangerine Cannondale F900 Headshok. decided on a core of XT with assorted others where a bit of jazz is required. Not looking for an immaculate showbike, just a solid, good looking XC machine...
