You're right..He doesn't know anything about it at all. If you bought a quality frame for yourself at a high price, I'm sure you would know a bit about it. I certainly would. Anyway, hes not budging on price.

Only the Americans would have the genius idea of painting a beautiful titanium frame I guess. But thats what paint stripper is for. I'm thinking its a very lare 90's frame, but no real idea

Can anybody help me out with the year of this Xizang frame? Also, is it of US or a Taiwan origin? Thanks Simon

As I remember when I bought the bike from new, it was the top-end steel framed bike, other than the Pysclone - but the Pysclone was only available as a frame only option. I think it had the same frame as the Borrego, but with higher spec components, namely: a full LX groupset with Parallax...

Hi, As an owner of a 92 GT Karakoram (Black) and very stock, it just dawned on me that I've not seen many other Karakorams on this site. Does this mean that they are pretty rare or just not worth bothering about - cant believe its the latter. Simon

I've got a completely standard GT Karakoram in solid black gloss. I bought it new either in 91/92 or 93, but cant for the life of me pin the date down to a specific year. I've the checked the catalogue archive on this site and the 93 model has one of the weird paint schemes, so I'm guessing...
