Hand built in England - Raleigh

Thanks for the comments. @peetee it was silver and blue, at repsray time I decided to just go with the silver, was a little worried it might look a bit boring but I think looks just right somehow. On the look out for some better bars and a 600 tricolour stem to finish it off. Cheers Steve

Hand built in England - Raleigh

Running mostly Shimano 600 Tri-colour, with Mavic open 4 Cd wheels on tricolour hubs. It's an 8 speed and works perfectly...

Is this an old Trek ?

Bought this as a possible project about 15 years back, dug out the garage this week to decide what to do with it. It came as it looks now, think it once had paint ? the bike shop I bought it from (they took it in part ex) said it was a Trek...but not 100% Its light weight and as you can see...

@hamster - thanks for the info on filing the slots, something to think about, as is the caliper offer...tar @pigman - thanks, didn't know other versions existed....i'll have a look for some pics.. the blocks do make reasonable contact area with the rim, just a 1-2mm overide - tempting to maybe...

shimano 6403 too short for Raleigh

ShimanoTricolour br 6403 rear caliper is about 2mm short of the mavic open rim on my 86 raleigh ventua. Such a shame the tri colour looks really great bit im guessing there's no way of adapting it to fit. :(
