I can't identify the frame. It didn't have 531 or Columbus decals so I'm assuming it's neither . Must be 20 years old from the state of the original paintwork. Claris is more than good enough for me :) What sort of age / wear are we talking because I only want to build it once :-)

Hello Gents I've just had an oldish Ribble steel frame beautifully resprayed by Rourke Cycles of Stoke. I'm now need a complete groupset : looking for STI shifters rather than down tube . Rim Brakes and ideally long reach calipers ? I'm trying to approximate a thick tyred gravel bike for canal...

I can also recommend @Oldtat as a fit and proper person with whom to trade bike parts :) He sold me a superb complete bike at a knockdown price . Turned out to be clean , ready to ride, and even better than he'd described it. He also went miles out of his way to meet me for the handover . Top man !
