The airlines don't charge very much for bikes if you take them back with you. Just get a bike shop to package it up in a bike box (maybe £20) and often the airline will ship it for free (they did for me when flying back from Qatar). Might not be as expensive as you think.

Yeah it's not bad at all. Not a lot of padding, and def not gel which I think the GT original was, but not a bad match. Will look good on my '91 Zaskar once I get it polished up.
Found this on Planet X's massive sale. It's very similar to the saddle found in the higher spec early 90's models (Avalanche upwards I think). With the clearance deals I paid £4.50 for it.

Just unboxed a decent condition ink blue Zaskar. All the bits are rubbish, but the frame is pretty decent, with the blue being very vivid. Hopefully the photos have attached.
Its a Feb '94 with just really cable rub and chainstay rub. Is there a way of touching up the anodising? I know can't...

This has just come up in my GT search on eBay. Looks very small and is a 12.5" model. Advert says it's a 14.5", but does say it's a GT 12.5" in the text
