Re:
Very nice...if only it had rack mounts.
I bumped in to a guy at Greenwich foot tunnel entrance a couple of weeks ago with a very similar one - saw you're in S London, so thought it might be the same (small world etc).
Does anyone know which year of P7/Clockwork has rack mounts?
I'm after an Orange P7 19" frame and if possible, rigid forks.
Requirements are:
1 1/8" steerer/ahead
Rack braze-ons - only certain P7s had these i think
Rigid forks - although would go for just frame
V-brake bosses
Main uses are touring, commuting, some light trail.
Very nice. Rather tempted by the frame and some other bits...
How would this convert to rigid forks? As in, would it mess up the geometry?
I'm 5'11" - how do you think this might suit me?
One thing that appeals to me is the rack mounts as I do the odd bit of light touring. My 97 GT Karakoram...
I'd like a GT Bravado, 96-99, around 20" frame
Frame & forks, or just frame or the whole bike....
Need to replace my tragically broken Karakoram.
thanks

Good point - the main advantage being that I like the feel. I recently bought a Lava Dome to build up a project (single speed), and I'm riding it at the moment, and I have to say it just doesn't feel right.
There's a yellow 96-99 (?) Karakoram on ebay at the moment I have my eye on, just need...
Re:
Thanks for all of your answers. I'm drawn to buying another Karakoram frame from the same era.
Related to the known weakness, should I look at alternative makes? I'd been told that my Karakoram would go on forever, and having used my panniers recently (something I intend to go more of)...
My beloved 98 GT Karakoram is broken!
Today the drive-side chainstay broke at the derailleur end - see photos.
I'm wondering what my options are.
I've owned it since new and gradually upgraded the parts to Hollotech II BB, new Deore chainset, new LX/Mavic XM317 wheels, Deore XT Shadow RD and...
Sorry for the delay...
Hi...sorry, DEVELOPMENT CYCLE... couldn't log in for some reason. I do still need the cover for the left (3 speed/front) shifter. Are you in the UK? I'm in (east) London.
Thanks for all of your help.
