Here I have a lovely Campagnolo Triomphe groupset for sale. Its in lovely condition, only a few little scratches and some light surface rust on the brake caliper release levers. Otherwise, its all been polished up and it looks fantastic! Very little wear to teeth on chainrings...
The problem with Raleigh Records is that they seemed to produce all sorts of different variations, some high spec and some low spec. Some with the Team colours, and some like mine with completely different colour and decal schemes. The ones you find in the catalogues all seem to be bottom spec...
More photos. Whats this fork crown type called? I had the same on my Raleigh Panasonic Team Pro. also got a photo of the serial number, doesnt mean anything to me though??
That wiki states they were manufacturing bikes in the 80's and supplying bikes for the falcon teams into the early 90's. So its not implausible that its 1986+.
Also that Falcon competitor is very similar in looks with reynolds 531c and thats stated as a 1986!
Also the spec of the competitor on Ebay reads

I've found these that look to be the same era as mine, these are reynolds 531c. Ones says its 1986. two competitors and one scirocco, so you can imagine the next one up would be a "triomphe" like mine says on the top tube in the same place as it says "competitor" and "Scirocco" on these two...
Weight is 2870 grams with the heavy steel Headset and Bottom Bracket fitted. So those probably account for 450grams+ I would have thought. So i would say frame and fork is 2400grams
My Harry Hall 531c frame with HS and BB is 3137 grams
