I have nobbly 27.5s running on my B17 (slightly longer stays thank other Marin models I believe, disc brake) with no bother, and 29s with skinny roady tyres on my explosif (sliding dropouts, disc brake). It can be done.

a bundle of clips, cables, computers, sensors etc which have been hiding in the back of the shed for umpteen years. Untested, may or may not work. Free to a good /bad /indifferent home, just pay the postage which would be about 3 quid by herpes or 4 quid by post office.

Our lot are out for this year too. I was surprised when I told our 6y/o that it was a 6 hour ride not the proper 24 hours jobbie and shoddy camping arrangements she said "well that's a bit cr@p isn't it". Potty mouth. They liked the event last time out so fingers crossed we're in next time too...
