Re:
Necro post! I'm looking for the spacers to let me convert from QR to 135x12mm bolt through. I have the axle and the bearings but only one spacer so I can't complete my new bike yet :
Well, I've found the axle in my drawer but NOT the end caps (and I've the correct bearings) so I really need the correct end caps so I can finish my Meta 55 build!
I've stripped my old faithful FSR Elite and am in the process of sticking all the bits onto a Commencal Meta 55 but my Bulb will need converted or I can have a Big Un laced to my rear rim, according to whichever conversion kit I can obtain! I have the rear axle for the Bulb (I'm not sure how!)...
A friend of mine had the EXACT same bike as this. I remember his excitement when he got it on finance for a lot of money! He stuck Magura rim brakes on and it was a brilliant all rounder, SOO light as well 8)
Did you sort a rear wheel out or would you be interested in a black Deore 36 hole hub laced with DT PG spokes to a Mavic F219 (now rebranded to the EN321)?
Just trued as it was about 1mm out, side to side, and the bearings are in great nick seeing as I replaced them a couple of years back then...
As I said, 165mm eye to eye shock! It doesn't matter if it's coil or air sprung but I'd go for coil if you're gonna give it some abuse with those long travel forks  Steer clear of the Rock Shox rear shocks just, they got mangled within a couple of rides
Keep checking fleabay for...
I'm still getting used to them after having the Z150s on for a while but initial impressions are good. The 5" Shermans I consider to be pretty much perfect for this frame and if someone came along with a set of 6" 1 1/8th Shermans I take their hand off for them!
Apparently the 454s are the...
Spec's are:
Rock Shox Pike 454s
Fox Vanilla (TC to get serviced then back on after a couple of years resting in a drawer)
Bulb rear hub on EN321 (rebranded F219)
Hope Bigun front hub (20mm) on F219
Specialized Roller 2.3" front tire (REALLY tacky but hard wearing)
2.2" Specialized The...
Well, I've always had a soft spot for these frames after a heavy Rockhopper FSR then some sort of other unknown FSR so I tracked this frame down from I can't even remember where a few years ago and slung some goodies on. I've a set of Z150s in the garage needing a service as the rebound adjust...
Same frame as mine; I've gotta get the pictures up asap! Those forks are WAY too long if you're using that standard rear shock and shock plate. BETD/ Goldtec did one that let you use the standard 165mm eye to eye shock but choose from 4, 5 or 6 inches of travel. 150mm travel front forks such as...
