WTD Rigida AL1320 27x1.1/4 front wheel

Re: WTD alloy 27x1.1/4 front wheel as above! I was looking for a rigida AL1320 front wheel <which would be lovely to find one) but Ultimately i think i may have to settle for any old alloy wheel of the right size as AL1320's seem hard to find  Does anyone have one kicking about...

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

I'm an idiot  what's the saying.... only fools rush in! I DID need a 140mm axle as i forgot to include the derraillieur dropout to the overall length measurement of my rear axle  honestly this is embarrassing. Now that I've done that, and fitted a tyre to the rear wheel i...

WTD Rigida AL1320 27x1.1/4 front wheel

Still looking :-) I would consider other brands of wheels provided they at least appear to be similar to the AL1320 i am running on the rear. and MUST be alloy, and straight :-)

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

Thread revival ahoy!!! I have finally got round to this again,.. i realised i jumped in at the deep end on this and got a bit disheartened with it - but i'm back on it now as I decided i couldn't bear to part with it! I measured the drop out gap at 126mm - so i have ordered <and just fitted> a...

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

The rear dropouts (inside measurement) come to 130mm, but whether it has been spread/cold set in the past,.. I do not know, for a 5speed of this vintage I thought it should be... errrm, 126mm? <not sure!>

WTD Rigida AL1320 27x1.1/4 front wheel

As the title suggests! I'm after a Rigida AL1320 front wheel measuring 27x1.1/4 Hub make is not so important to me, but if you have a 36 spoker, that would be a bonus as I'd like to get the rear of my bike matching the front :D

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

You know, I've just been googling falcon bicycles,... And I think you may have I.D'd it,... I have found a good few Falcons with the fork top detail that i son my bike,.. and also with the same wheels.... the O.L.D. on the new wheel measures up as 120mm, my rear dropouts are 130mm, so i will...

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

I have mocked up the new rear wheel now, and besides needing a small spacer on the non drive side, and a longer spindle (I have 130mm drops, so will be going for a 140mm axle) I should be able to build up the rear end properly soon and the wheel will sit dead centre, chain line looks to be spot...

First stab at a restoration. Bought the bike for £5

That's a nice looking bike, Good classic frame and just the right amount of modern parts (that don't look too out of place) to bring up to speed a little. i think the twin chain ring looks a little odd, but i always think that when i see a single speed conversion. How do you find it rides now...

A mystery of the 27" 10 speed variety.

Could my bike have started life as something similar to a Raleigh Europa? check out this thread and find the photo of the forks being resprayed on the first page,... look familiar? and the head tube looks similar around the joins.... http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=219562...
