Re:
Here's my Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima from the early 80s made with 531. At this time Bianchi had taken over Legnano and some of the frames are made from Columbus or Falck tubing.
Build thread can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=310792
I can't say exactly as the frame was repainted prior to my ownership. The frame is clearcoated over the decals and it seems to be good quality, apart from that the paint seems to chip too easily. I've heard this about a few Cycleart paint jobs. A while back I emailed them about getting some...
Re:
^ This frame makes me wish the PO had painted the headtube blue.
I've ordered some Jagwire blue brake cable housing, and I'm hoping they are a dark enough blue to match the downtube bands. The next thing is to try and find a dark blue saddle, perhaps another Turbo, but they seem to be hard...
This one might not be for the Gios purists as the frame was repainted in Molteni orange by Cycleart. Confirmed by Gios as an '86 frame.
I've had this frame for a couple of years and I had it built up with Campag SR, but a C-Record group came my way so it got an upgrade.
Frame: 1986 Gios...
This is a 56cm Tommasini Comp frame that has likely been repainted sometime in it's life by a previous owner (relatively recently as the paint is mint). A "Prestige" decal is present on the top tube, but this is actually a "Comp" model. I presume the correct "Comp" decal was not available in the...
Re:
Thanks for the kind words.
The metallic blue of the frame and the gold/brown of the decals and tubs goes together well, so I might look for a suede brown Turbo or Rolls saddle to see how that looks.
Re:
Time for an update on this bike. All of the DA parts were moved onto my '79 RIH.
This Legnano is now fully Campagnolo Record/Super Record with Cinelli bars and stem. Rims are Wolber Aspin Super Champion.
Re:
That looks a lot like my Legnano Olimpiade Record Specialissima built with Reynolds 531. I've seen similar frames made with Falke and Columbus tubing.

I've not been able to nail down the exact year, but '79/'80 seems about...

Here's the build sheet.
Frame/Fork: 56cm Colnago Mexico '79ish - Columbus KL tubing
Headset: Campagnolo Super Record
Stem: Cinelli 1A
Handlebar: Cinelli Criterium
Bar Tape: Benotto Cello
Brake Levers: Campagnolo Nuovo Record
Brake Calipers: Campagnolo Nuovo Record
Shifters: Campagnolo...
I picked up this Colnago Mexico frame about 18 months ago. I think it's a late 70s frame. These Mexico's are made from Columbus KL tubing and it weighs 1780g frame / 717g fork.
Re:
Thanks for the kind comments.
Jamie - I will certainly create a thread for the RIH soon, but I'm having trouble finding a set of Dura Ace 7200 braze-on DT shifters to complete the build (and then I have the issue of mounting them on normal "square" bosses).
Shaun - I got lucky in that the...
