I quite liked the lauf when I had a go on it. On some of the fast south downs descents you can't see because you're eyeballs are vibrating, the lauf wasn't perfect but it was alright.
you'll need a tensioner anyway. I've had a few magic ratio bikes for commuting. The magic only lasts a few months, they ALWAYS wear and fall off which gets boring very quickly.
