Not too much, just wanted something stronger than general purpose 6061, the tube was purchased fron a aircraft supply company in Sydney, I remember paying $10 per foot a steep sum over 30 years ago.
Yes Ian, the seat tube is the seat post with the seat stays attached to a lug machined at the rear of the seat lug.The frame was build to my size and is not adjustable.

Great pictures and a fine show,shame about the weather. I put my bike in the classic bike show that was held here in Sydney earlier in the year that was a very hot day, I was thrilled to win best road bike 60 to 85,would be nice to get up to your show next year.
