onegoodbike's Dynatech 905 ti retromod build.

I’ve built my beastie up. It’s a preliminary build just to get the thing rolling and it’s a beautie. Really direct handling and with tubs at 120psi you could feel a flattened fleas fingerprint. I’m going to ditch the STI’s in favour of down tube shifters but the frame has (factory?) chamfered...

onegoodbike's Dynatech 905 ti retromod build.

Thread regurgitation alert! I’ve just taken possession of a Raleigh branded TI frame (details to come). Was there some crossover/confusion about how the company branded these frames?

    Dave Yates resto build

For me, the pleasure of ownership has taken over 40 years arriving. Don’t give up your dream of having one - it might be closer than you...

1993 Condor Professional 653 (Dave Yates built)

Fantastic story and lovely bike, thanks for sharing. I have a 1980’s Condor which I will get round to restoring soon. It’s genuine, with pantographing everywhere, but has no frame number which baffled the staff at Condor when I contacted them for build details! FWIW, those Campagnolo triple...

    Wanted 26.8 seat post

Tatty is fine as long as it’s not dented or hideously corroded. Needs to be a reasonable length 200mm +. Micro adjust or clamp fit, steel or alloy, as long as it would suit a pre-80’s bike.

    At last, a Dave Yates.

Back in the ancient mists of time……well, 1983, or thereabouts, I was a spotty, skinny youth who discovered cycling. Around about then and for many years after I was skint so thumbing through Cycling Weekly and Bicycle Magazine was as close as I could get to a proper bike from a proper builder. I...
