Tektro R530 have a good spring and a nice shape to allow a mudguard 39-49mm i think you can pick a set up for £35ish a pair Carl

i always use xt cassettes with a SRAM chain and i find it runs very smooth but other may think otherwise. SLX cassettes are also good and smooth but if your a weight saver then go for XT :) Carl

i find the current Hope quick releases work perfect, never had a wheel move and they have a good knurled grip washer

certainly looks like one! the rear dropouts look identical to what aende used, plus i have seen a few in my time due to restorations :)

well at work we have sealed 1 inch threaded headsets which measure 26.4 un split, but there is no reason you cant split it which will do it no harm and still work 100% bang on. there sealed bearings :)

sorry cant help but if your current one was a cartridge bearing headset then all you would of had to do is split the race like most modern headset come with as standard....... if you follow my meaning ? What fork are you putting it on ? :) Carl
