    Double-E F feedback

Re: The communications were just like talking to your mate in the pub. Only he didn't get drunk. And he actually did exactly what he said, which is also not what drunk mates do. The frame was exactly as described (old, like me) and came well packed and safe. A pleasure to deal with in all...

Mountain Cycle Suspenders II + ProStop

Re: Right... I've been through the box and I have a complete calliper, return spring, and brake cable stop. The actuation lever is a longer early type one, so you'll need to run a brake lever with plenty of cable pull (pre-V). I also have a disc and carrier (the middle bit which threads onto...

Mountain Cycle Suspenders II + ProStop

Re: I might have a steerer tube. I swapped one out years ago for a titanium one. I have a ProStop you can have, and also the small folded metal cable-stop for those particular forks. Maybe even a return spring that sits between it and the actuation lever. I can get into the box of old bits...

    Faith Gauntlet

Long shot I know, but if anyone sees one that might well be up for sale (or could be available through persuasion, jedi mind tricks, swap for Rond forks, or Nico Vouilloz's Tioga saddle from Les Gets '96) then please bung me a PM. The Faith Gauntlet was one of the best bikes I ever owned, and...

Putting my Chassis Dynamicist head back on for a moment... "What the f...." ;-) So that's like a Windcheetah, but with the power of two people! I want Staffy (Jamie Staff, not a dog) on the back and I get to steer :-) -=smiffy=-

    Brit Downhill Legends race again!

Re: The 'dreas didn't spend much time hanging up as I was letting people ride it. But when it did stand still the 44 Racing guys looked after it.

    Brit Downhill Legends race again!

Re: We stopped to make sure Berty won. Rob never backs down on a bet. The legends rode for JMC, and everyone getting a DNF for Rob to get a tattoo? That's something Jason would have done. It all fitted perfectly. We all paid at least the £75 entry fee (some like myself paid more) as our fees...

"Good for jumps in Miggy woods"

Re: I was born in Hunslet Carr. My family on my Mother's side goes back 6 generations in Leeds :-) Miggy woods and my uncle's scrapyard were my playground as I grew up. I must get up there again one day! -=smiffy=-

"Good for jumps in Miggy woods"

Re: Bombholes in miggy woods are the remains of Bell pits, which were (mostly) collapsed on purpose after use. Although my grandfather always told of of one where the "shovels" (a reference to the miners) were buried alive when it collapsed. True or not, I always used to ride around that one...

So... When can I have a go? I can bring the San Andreas along so you have something to ride whilst I sling a leg over the yellow one. -=smiffy=-

X - Lite Titanium Pro / Trimmel Forks **Pic Update 28/06**

Bars... The bars are straight in shape and straight gauge Titanium. 22.2mm diameter. I have a pair, but unfortunately they're in my X-Lite forks that I won from Rex (Trimnell) after a gentleman's bet, and they're simply worth too much to me purely for the memories they bring back. (For those...
