Does anyone remember a barrel-less front hub that just had alloy flanges supported on the bearing outer races. Maybe early 1990's or even before. Looked sweet but i guess it didn't actually work.

Did you post in road forum as well ? I finally bought a Buckley off a well known auction site 2 years ago. The second one I had seen in 30 years. I am now looking for one that actually fits me. They were famous for the triangular chain-stays which they introduced as an option in 1937...
