    1993 (?) K2 comp 1 restoration

Somewere on Retrobike there's a Swiss 1996 K2 catalog which doesn't have any full sus model, and after that K2 became Proflex, so yours must at least be 1995 or earlier.

    1993 (?) K2 comp 1 restoration

Wow, what an interesting find! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the full suspension models of 1993 or 1994. In my catalogue, the full sus model is named FS-1, but yours definitely also looks like a genuine K2, albeit with an almost exact copy of the Boulder Intrepid layout. So for...

    1993 (?) K2 comp 1 restoration

Black looks good on a polished frame, and spiked tires are always cool. Not sure about the fenders though ;-) Looking forward to the pics (but maybe start a separate thread for your bike?)!

    Anyone heard of Sevysa?

From the July 1994 issue of O2 bikers. Hope you speak some French. FYI: 1 euro is 40 Belgian Franks, so this bike cost 4000 euro at the time!

    Anyone heard of Sevysa?

I have an "O2 bikers" issue at home with a review of a Sevysa from back in the day, I'll see if I can scan it for you one of the coming evenings. IIRC it was a polished frame with lots of blue Ringle parts.

    Anyone heard of Sevysa?

Very nice frame, they had a good reputation back in the mid-nineties. The build is very wrong though: riser bars, sturdy stem and massive pedals are not appropriate for a super lightweight xc race frame. Good luck returning it to its former glory, the frame looks mint!

    Seat post struck in frame

I just held the blade in my hand, wrapped in some cotton. I made 2 parallel cuts going down as deep as I could without fear of cutting into the frame itself. Then stuck a screwdriver between frame and seatpost and gently pried the seatpost to the inside until I could grab it with pliers and pull...

    Seat post struck in frame

that's good news, aluminum is much softer so if you have to go down the hacksaw route, it will take much less time than it would for a steel seatpost. See my K2 thread for my own adventure removing a stuck seatpost. Nothing worked (though I didn't try the slide hammer) so I had to use the hacksaw.

    1993 (?) K2 comp 1 restoration

Re: Nice find for a reasonable price! I'd say yours is a little later than mine: tapered down tube, smoother welds, color fade in the top-tube decal and side-mounted top tube cable guide all point to 1994, as you state, while mine is probably a 1992 model. Indeed, they are long and low! I...

    Yeti ARC frame (swap?)

Re: EDIT: oops, sorry, it's a 17.5" did you see this one? It's a 2nd half of the nineties frame, but repainted as a 1994: https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/bik/ ... 79602.html

Re: Klein Attitude Dolomite there's an XS dolomite on ebay right now which is in only slightly better condition and that one got a bid of 1400USD already. Don't know whether that's a genuine bid though. So it may be that I was totally off. Then again, if you factor in the cost of a proper...

    Attitude Mc2 Colour options please?

Pearl black may be nice, but Painted Desert is drop-dead gorgeous in real life. Says PaintedDesert.

Re: Klein Attitude Dolomite at least the rear brake cable exit was not drilled to fit the v-brake size XS is probably not worth as much as a less extreme size, but if that is what you need, that's fine. You don't need to worry about ruining a mediocre paint when respraying :-) box crown to...

    My 1995 Cilo.

Excellent bike, and it looks quite pristine! I remember that great Cilo colour scheme, but from a few years earlier. So I guess they continued this into 1995?
