    Thanks for the input. And I share your suspision that it might not be a hope hub. However from partially dissasembling it I can say for sure it is sealed bearings rather than cup and cone. As before the XC on the left and unknown on the right.........

    Is anyone here able to help identify the hub on the right hand side of the image below? I'm pretty sure the one on the left is an "XC" but not been able to find the one on the right. Any help much appreciated.

    You got any more detail on where you got the paint from? Is the match as good as it looks in the photos? I'm after similar paint for a 2001 F700 project bike.
