A bit of local gravel with the old boys done. A healthy mixture of tire sizes (26", 650B and 29") and drivetrains (3x8, 2x11 and 1x12), flat bars, drop bars, rigid forks, V-Brakes and hydro-discs all enjoying the warm evening, with 45km and 1000+ m alt in about 2,5hrs.

´The verdict is that I´m old :LOL: , so the bar needs to go higher, maybe 2cm, not more. I just took it out of a barn after many years, so obviously the cables and outers need a change, and the fork has no lock-out, so it´s a bit bouncy... But otherwise it´s much fun to ride. It eats up gravel...

Just tried out this setup on the new/old Avalanche...

So I changed the bars and tires, cleaned&greased it a bit and tomorrow I´ll try it on some gravel. Then I´ll see further.

That was quick, thanks a lot. I do not have any paperworks along with the bike, but it does look mostly complete and original to me. It´s certainly not ridden. A 1999 GT catalogue is so far impossible to find online... That leaves one question open: what do I do with it :)

Another epic mud-fest instead of Gravel today... 108 km and 680m alt in 5 hrs 30 min and pouring rain that started 3 days ago, so everything was sogged already 😃 🤦‍♂️ . Enjoyed it nevertheless ☺️. Will clean bike and clothes tomorrow, today I´m too tired.
