    thanks midlife I've been scanning ebay for a few days, but hubs all have different shape and size dustcaps that won't fit my hub. Unless you know that the 105 hub (or another) uses the same type of dustcap as the one I have. I could replace the complete hub, but the bike has a lovely 600...

    Nice one retrobike rider! It is a FH6208 rather than the 6207, but after looking up the 6208 on that website, turns out the dustcap part number is the same for both. Very handy resource for old shimano bits and bats, thanks. The hunt continues... *fires up TARDIS, pops a jelly baby and dons...

It's an awkward thing to find, I don't have a part number that I can find to search on, and I am really starting to think I would have to...
