    Klein frame sizes

I'm 6' with a 34" inseam and currently ride a 61cm Quantum pro and an XL (22") Adroit. I feel this Adroit is just on the verge of being too small, and the previous 21" Adroits I've owned were definitely too small. My first Klein was a 20" Rascal, and I'm still irritated that the shop ordered...

    Drugs & Retrobiking - Discussion

In the "old" days when top 3 finishing was important, I had all kinds of rules. These days, I eat a normal dinner. Normal breakfast (I hate to upset my old man digestive system), and lots of beer afterwards.

    Racing a retro

I raced only on my '97 Mantra this summer, and did quite well (always top 10, and even one 3rd place finish). The look on people's faces as you fly by on an old bike is priceless. I would've continued to stay on that bike for future racing if it hadn't self destructed. Now I've joined...

paranoid about selling stuff?+ buying uneeded stuff?

I literally threw a bunch of old sun tour XC pro and "old" shimano xt/xtr stuff away 3 years ago because I couldn't imagine ever having a use for it... Now I'm scouring eBay trying to locate those same things. I'm not throwing anything away again!

FS/FT: 94 Klein Quantum Pro Frameset

Nice bike. I had the same one with campy record. I wish I'd kept it.

How many retro bikes do you own/whats the average number ?

I started out this summer with 5. Now I'm down to 2.

Continental Double Fighter Tyres - what do you know?

I used these on the rear a lot for racing in dry to tacky (not pebbly) conditions. They're fast, light, and work really well. I also found them to wear a bit quickly, at which point they don't do so well in the woods.

    Kooka cranks = crap!

If I had a dollar for every Look road pedal I've broken... damn spindles never last. I'm thinking of hiring myself out for quality control. If I can't break it, it's got to be good.

    Kooka cranks = crap!

I "collapsed" 2 of their seatposts. After the second one bent in half I begged them to let me just get some skewers rather than risk my sensitive areas to sharp metal. FWIW I started using Thompson posts on all my bikes after that and have NEVER bent or seized one.

The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

Klein Mantra Pro, '96 or '97 What would a Mantra Pro ('96 or '97) be worth these days... as a frameset or complete bike?

    Kooka cranks = crap!

I'd have to agree. Most of the CNC bits from the 90's were junk, especially the ones that started with a "K". Kooka, Kore. They looked pretty, but never lasted. Did I mention I also had a set of wheels built up with "fiber flight" carbon spokes... Yes, I was a sucker in the 90's.

    Kooka cranks = crap!

I purchased a set of kooka mtn cranks when they first came out. They developed some "issues" and were exchanged for a second set under warranty. I put the replacement set on my Adroit, rode it for a summer, and then retired the girl. I've since started riding the bike *rolls eyes*, and...

Selle Italia Flite seat rails popped out, a little help?

I have 3 Flite ti saddles with rails that have popped out of the plastic inserts. Has anyone had luck getting them back in? I've done hours of searching without finding a good fix. I'd hate to throw them away.
