Thanks, so it makes sense I've posted this thread in both forums ...
By the way, the aestethical aspects of your Rockhopper are similar to this Hardrock?
PS: nice motto ;)
Hello mates, do you know the production year of this HardRock?
(initially I posted this thread in the -->1997 section but someone wrote that the V-brakes are telling this is a '98+ bike, so I am reposting here)
Thank you!
Thanks, but I did not find there, this makes me think it could be 1999 or 1997, but not sure ... maybe the true Specialized fans here can help and solve the mystery ...
And now I remember, it was love at first sight, but after a while the comparison with the MTB bought by my friends shortlyafter got me disaffected: the steel wasn't Tange if I remember well, the geometry not so gritty, the colour not so fashionable like the flashy green or fuchsia on the other...
Bought one in 1987, my first mountain bike (although more like a citybike), some years after I upgraded with a stumpjumper... and never seen another one for the rest of my life (mine was white, exactly like the one being sold in Norfolk)
I'd like to introduce to you my 1992 Stumpy, turned touring bike after idling in the garage for too long.
The purists may disapprove, but, hey, it's really a fun ride.
