Just picked up on this thread. So deeply saddened by the news.
John - you are responsible for much of my early days knowledge and I owe so much to you despite only ever meeting, at best, in passing at cycle events/shows in the late 80/early 90s. Much love and respect to you
I’m be got some Manitou 2 forks which are off my old fisher Supercal so the right steerer size
The elastomers seized but I have the original owners manual etc if you weee going to service them
A real genuine and honest legend of a guy that helped me out at a difficult time. Very quick turn around with sending stuff out too!
Highly recommended.
I’ve had a Celerity from new. They rode well and although the one pictured has had done replacement parts you still get the true temper frame set that appeared on more expensive 1990 models.
Mine is now singlespeed and with a few nice bits on it
Thanks for the quick response
Wow @trailstar82 I wasn’t expecting that sort of offer and don’t want to take liberties etc. I’ll pm you
In the meantime, something like this?

Hi all
So I was made redundant a few months back and it’s been a tough time tbh, but anyway, finally looks like I’ve got a new job starting soon (yay!) and am thinking of using my 1997 Kona Fire Mountain to commute on.
The route is mainly road with the option of some towpath for a bit of it...
Love seeing Fishers 😎
I had a Supercal from ‘91 but sadly the head tube cracked in multiple places 😢
Still got my ‘90 Celerity set up SS but it needs some new headset bearings at some point.
Nice to see others still going strong
