    C-record date code 51

Re: I see you have a Montello. I also have an early one, probably made in '84. Could you give me the serial number of yours, I'm trying to decipher the Pinarello's s/n system in the '80s. Are you the first owner of a bicycle? What information do you have for '88? Edit: Now I see the link with...

    C-record date code 51

Re: Hi, to my best knowledge, it was made in 1989. The double-coding began in '85. The first number represents the year. 85 = 1 ..... 89 = 5 The second number? Maybe the quarter year.

PINARELLO Montello (?) Identification Help wanted

Re: Hi, "Rosso" - OK, "Metallizzati" - OK, but "Trasparenti" -? This "Bordeaux" I do not feel transparent. I have a Super Record frame from '81-'82 similar metallic but green, it does not seem transparent to me either. Which is transparent to me, these are (true, it's not metallic)...

PINARELLO Montello (?) Identification Help wanted

Re: Hi fguki, I think I've seen this frame set put on sale. Beautiful metal burgundy colour, very very rare at Montellos. It was primarily used before the Montellos, and was deleted in '86 or 87, and only the chromovelato transparent burgundy remained. (My ca. '80 Pinarello Prestige had this...

    Fork identification needed.

Re: Hi jm, I have no specific idea, but I can say the following: It is probably made of SL tube. I have a Colnago Super fork here from SL tube with 173 mm ST, if I remember 688 gr but no with aero fork crown According to the manufacturer, the eight-character number is maybe a large company...

Trying to know exactly which Colnago frame it is...

Re: This is a '82-'83's Nuovo Mexico (or as they sometimes call it N.Mexico Profil). It was similar to Saronni's spare bicycle in 1982 in Goodwood.

Help identifying a 8 speed campy cassette

Re: Hi, I'm not an expert but one sure: It isn't a 1. gen (pre-exa) Record cassette. Neither these nor the Light Alloy (pre-exa) 8 spd. had small holes. I know in the first years (pre-exa era) Record and Chorus 8 spd. agreed. There was also a 7-speed version that was given standard to Athena...

    Question - Portacatena 1970s frame ?

Re: In this case, I think it is absolute normal. This will only with 5-speed or less freewheels work.
