I tried an British bb and it didn’t thread in more than 1/3rd, rough count indicates 26 TPI, but there is also minor damage to threads. Want to try a 26TPI before going threadless.

It is a 1968-1970 Carlton. I am after a square taper axle set.

After going through eBay for a week I am coming up empty handed. The closest I can get is a non-drive side cup and lock ring, but no complete BB set. I don’t suppose anyone has a 26TPI Raleigh type bottom bracket they are happy to sell? I am stuck with this Carlton frame until I sort this out...

Hi all, I am after a 1” threaded headset, 26TPI. As long as the cup/cone surfaces are decent I am not too fussed about the looks. Happy to trade or simply buy it off someone. Thanks! Nieky

I spotted that one, but it is listed as 1 1/8” and as 25.4mm (= 1”), so I’m not sure what it actually is.
