Help with identifying Raleigh refurb project

Thanks all... the (very basic) refurb is slow but progressing - will update fully when it's all done, but here's some of the parts stripped and in various stages of being worked on... the brakes and saddle are coming up nicely considering. New cables (inner and outer) and brake blocks have...

Help with identifying Raleigh refurb project

The Raleigh was on Gumtree and the Marin was on Ebay - been watching a while though before anything came up that I fancied... the price was so good on them that I couldn't resist although the condition of both is far from perfect! I am learning that that's when the fun begins though!

Could be though if they made one with drops... or perhaps someone converted it later - I did wonder about the rather gorgeous looking Cinelli bars! I'll measure...

Help with identifying Raleigh refurb project

Thanks very much... serial number was obvious in the end (in daylight!). It's NN0021953, so from what I've seen online, that'll be Nottingham made October 1980? I'd still love to know the model though... also, is there any way of knowing whether the tubing is Reynolds without a sticker being...

Help with identifying Raleigh refurb project

Hi all, If anybody can help me to ID the bike pictured on my flickr stream at http://www.flickr.com/photos/almaule/sets/72157633220364361/ I'd be really grateful - saw it advertised for £20 and just couldn't refuse it! Used to ride a similar bike as a teenager, but this one has lost it's decals...
