Paganini CX cyclocross frame & fork

Hello- Happy New Year! My big find at the end of 2014 was a lugged Paganini cyclocross frame and fork that came with a Chris King 2Nut headset. I know having searched the archives here and the C&V on Bike Forums that Paganini was the house brand for Plum-Vainqueur in Gent. That's where my...

    Reflex ALX99 1988

+1 Agreed! The hideous plastic dork disc was awful, it was actually the first thing to go!

    Reflex ALX99 1988

I pulled the Vento Propizio saddle off my daughter's bike and installed on my '86 Nashbar Terra XT (Japanese Ishiwata Stumpjumper knock off) cafe/bar bike. The leather surface was crazed but some Proofide did the trick and now the saddle seems right at home... it's no Brooks but it'll do for...

    Reflex ALX99 1988

Thank you for the replies, I appreciate the effort! Elev12,000 had posted over on Bike Forums C&V some additional info about the similarities to the Raleigh, Peugeot, Koga-Miyata, and other bonded frames of the period as well as costs. The catalogues mention prices in guilders. To give an idea...

    1982 Specialized Stumpjumper * finished * pics on p7!!

Hello Bart, Thanks for the reply! I'm still surprised by the fact this Stumpjumper seemingly popped up close to home, for a fair price, and without a long search. My buddy is convinced that it was meant to be, he is actually enthused by my lucky find because he's tired of me talking about...

    1982 Specialized Stumpjumper * finished * pics on p7!!

stumpjumper1990, Absolutely amazing job on your build, it's the best I've ever seen! The attention to detail and willingness to make it happen is top notch. The best bit were the race shots that Rio supplied... so nice to see that beauty in action, almost like some pages from a 30 year old...

Psycle Werks Wild Hare Sorry all for revivin' an old thread but I have to know what happened to Karloff70's Psycle Werks Wild Hare... 3 pages of posts, nightmares, and updates... and nothing else. I have to know if Karloff70 got his Wild Hare rollin' or did it burn up? What's the story, man...

Respect! Much respect to you Repack Rider for being a pioneer and showing the way! I just watched KLUNKERZ again last night, such a fun flick to enjoy! You guys had some serious cojones!!! All of you bombing that ride under 5:00, forget Gary's 4:22 as that's just madness, and you all lived to...

Koga-Miyata (bolted stays) decals - Any ideas???

Illusive purple bits... Well, I struck out on my quest for some tasty vintage purple bike bits... granted it hasn't been very long but all I've managed to find is some low line Kalloy Uno stuff on Ebay. It's all NOS, stem, bar, H2O cages and from the same seller but I don't know if $50.00 worth...

Koga-Miyata (bolted stays) decals - Any ideas???

Paint hesitation... I never gave the colors a chance until you reminded me of the Zunow Hummingbird, I'd forgotten all about that bike!. A team member on my college cycling team had a Zunow, he was a transfer student from Japan who was studying in the states. That bike was a gorgeous piece of...

Koga-Miyata (bolted stays) decals - Any ideas???

Detail shot Hey- I finally got around to tearing down the bike and cleaning the frame. Thankfully, it cleaned up nicer than I was expecting but I still do not care for the colors. I spoke with my painter and we're going to paint the frame after getting it mediablasted, he thought it best to...

Koga-Miyata (bolted stays) decals - Any ideas???

Beautiful!!! Yes, that's the one I recall seeing... that ranks up there as one of the slickest bikes I've even seen! I wish mine looked like that!!! I know that Koga-Miyata has the carbon tubes and is leaps and bounds nicer than my entry level bike but I'm still a proud owner... seeing that one...
