    Best Era / Best Bike

1990 - 1995 Spent pretty much every weekend either riding or racing in the early 90s...it was was life was about and I had all the time in the world. Halcyon days! Bike wise has to be either the Klein Attitude (dolomite colors) or Kona Hei Hei.

    Rocky Mountain "Syncros" Expérience (COMPLETED)

This is so good. What an amazing build. I've always had a real soft spot for original syncros parts. I talked my parents into taking me to the syncros factory when I was on on holiday over there...they gave us a tour of the place and were super friendly...a day I'll definitely remember.

Question - Which is the most famous/ respected cycle brand that no longer exists?

Good shout, the Trailstar was quite a groundbreaking frame really. Spooky are long gone though

    Tomac

This exactly Late 80s early 90s was just a period where drugs (performance and recreational) seemed to be everywhere and MTB racing was no exception! I remember some pretty wild nights camping before racing! Tomac brought something to the table that others didn't at the time...style and skill...

Question - Which is the most famous/ respected cycle brand that no longer exists?

Another vote for Klein. The Attitude was so different and ground breaking to what was around in 1990. Spooky was another brand that made some really good stuff. The precursor to the jump bike we know today.

1990 Kona Explosif - Finished! see Page 4

Lovely build, those early splatter Konas look so good. I always picture high end konas of that period being kitted out with Suntour but that Campag goes so well on it. Bikes with patina imo are the best...no worries taking them out for a good thrashing!

    My unicorn - 1994 Kona Hei Hei - FULL SPEC/FINISHED PICS ON PAGE 8 & 9 - BOTY 2021, BOTM April 2021 & 2nd MucOff Show & Shine Malverns Classic 2021

What a build. Amazing. Hats off for having the patience and perseverance to source the parts...a lot of us would have just stuck other stuff on! Snowflake wheel lacing divides opinion...I've never been keen on it but a minor thing. Time to dig my '93 Hei Hei out although its going to get...

    XT M735 parts

Trying to cobble together my old M735 XT group to go back on a Kona frame and have found I'm in need of a few small parts. I'm after the following XT crank bolt covers..these were chromed plastic and usually broke/went AWOL so could be a long shot! tbh if anyone has some crank bolts with...
