Yep, seen this, and yep looks awesome! Been away past week and had it sat in silicon which has kept the rust at bay, think ill see how it goes and if it rats ill make a winter project of stripping and clear coating it

Sounds like a plan! I used a combo of a wire wheel, sandpaper and wire wool, wasn't that bad. I clearcoated the forks originally but didnt like the look as much a treated raw steel, may have to settle for that though

Cheers for the comments!, I've thought about clearcoating it but wanted to see how I got on without it first, I don't want to paint it as I like the raw look on this bike but if it keeps going rat look ill attempt a rattle can clearcoat. I think the inhibitor was ls1 ? That I was advised on here...

Somebody posted a link before on rust inhibitor but can't find it, been using battery terminal protector and its kept it at bay but supplies are getting low, any ideas?

Im fairly new to retrobike, and recently (kind of) completed my 1st retrobike project, a tatty 03 firemountain i purchased from ebay, built on a tight budget on parts from here, ebay etc. One of my purchases was a job lot barn find from gumtree for 25 quid, it included a very tatty, Hahanna...

I ran a drill into the kona dog collet so the cable sits nice and snug, works beautiful :) cheers for the tips

Having trouble putting vs on the back of my Hahanna, no cable stop, just the kona collar that sits below the seat clamp with a cable guide in it for canti brakes, seems if I use this it puts too much resistance on the brakes as the angle is too tight?! Any tips? Cheers

I threw the lx on tonight, i prefer how it looks, and seems really easy to setup, although ill wait to give it a good ride before I make it permenant if they aren't great with p2s My OCD said no , but I just went and did it because that's how I roll! ........now sat in the corner..rocking...

Putting the Hahanna together with the bits and bobs I've accumulated, mostly on here (cheers) I've ended up with a tidy set of stx v brakes, and a front deore lx (parallel type) I love the deore but would have to fit stx rear I know I'm being fussy but what would you do? Is having the deore...

Re: 1995 Kona Hahanna - Project Eat My Dirt You had better luck with your seatpost than me!, I have a hahanna that was identical to yours in the 1st pic, condition aswell. Took it to work, soaked the post for a day, put the saddle clamp in my bench vice and twisted the frame.........no joy...
