Yep, going back through this thread I've come across a few other examples. I guess at this point I already know pretty much all the information I could hope to glean from the serial anyway. I was just curious, but reassuring I'm not alone in being mystified!

Thanks for getting back to me. Here's two! Couldn't get the whole serial on one pic. Plus a pic of the bike - some unexpected components like that Club Roost stem. Yes, I was confused because it doesn't follow any of the four patterns you highlight in the other thread.
